We can resign ourselves to the Will of God and keep away our egosense, only by a continuous remembrance of God, just as we keep darkness away from a room by means of a light.

Nama Article 23rd December 2008

Devotee: How can we make a total surrender to the will of the Divine in the condition in which we are now?

Swami Papa Ramdas

We can resign ourselves to the Will of God and keep away our egosense, only by a continuous remembrance of God, just as we keep darkness away from a room by means of a light.

The moment the light is out, there is darkness again. Even so, the moment we forget God, the ego reappears. Selfsurrender is the result of a constant stream of Godremembrance.

It is now that we recognise that God's will alone is supreme and our will is nothing.

This is why Ramdas has been prescribing the repetition of God's Name as a means of continued contact with God.
