God's boundless grace though, is immeasurable, limitless and infinite!

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

We may have taken thousands of births, committed millons of sins and accumulated numerous vaasanaas (imprints of past thoughts/actions). No matter how collossal that figure is, it is unquestionably well within the realm of the finite. God's boundless grace though, is immeasurable, limitless and infinite!

When you are dependent on others, you have to live like a dog. When you depend on the Divine Names of the Lord, your life is king-size.

Source: Blissful blossoms –  H H Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

A dog wags its tail because it depends on man for its food whereas a lion walks around majestically as it hunts down its own food.

When you are dependent on others, you have to live like a dog.

When you depend on the Divine Names of the Lord, your life is king-size, like that of a lion.

Jakaro janma vischeda: pakara: papanashanam

Source: http://www.godivinity.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Nama-Mahatmyam.pdf

'Japa', is made of two letters, 'ja' and 'pa',

'Jakaro janma vischeda: pakara: papanashanam';

'ja' stands for liberation or moksha and 'pa' stands for obliteration of all sins.

Thus, Japa atonce removes our sins and makes us free from janmas (cyle of births and deaths).

When he becomes conscious of a greater Power governing the world, he approaches it through prayer for the fulfilment of his needs

Source: Sri Aurobindo - Power and Significance of Prayer

The life  of  man is a life of wants and needs and therefore of desires, not only in his physical and vital,  but in his mental and spiritual being.

When he  becomes  conscious  of  a  greater  Power governing  the  world,  he  approaches  it through prayer for the fulfilment of his needs, …………………. still  this way of turning to the Divine is an essential movement of  our  religious being and reposes on a universal truth.

Would it not amount to grave injustice if one shows a difficult path to the world ?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

When the scriptures and the sages have shown us the path of Nama kirtan as the simplest means to attain liberation in this Kali yuga, bearing in mind all our limitations, would it not amount to grave injustice if one shows a difficult path to the world?

Repeating a demand or prayer over and over again, mentally or orally, and with deepening attention and devotion, spiritualizes the prayer

Paramhansa Yogananda

Repeating a demand or prayer over and over again, mentally or orally, and with deepening attention and devotion, spiritualizes the prayer, and changes conscious, believing repetition into superconscious experience.

The one unchangeable thing is Krishna; others are changeable and hence unreliable. Therefore the duty of all is to make Krishna their own.

Source: Pagal Harnath letters

Name alone will lead you to right path and confer on you all the good graces of our Lord.

Krishna never allows His followers to go astray. No vicissitude ever comes near Krishna Bhaktas.

If you wish to love Krishnaji, love His creatures. If you wish to get mercy in hnads of our Lord, be merciful towards His beings. If you wish to be forgiven, learn to forgive the evildoers. If you like to get friendly help at His hands, be helpful to the needy and poor. If you do one thing for His sake, He will repay you by thousands and thousands. If you help the needy, never in your life will you be harressed by want and necessity.

The one unchangeable thing is Krishna; others are changeable and hence unreliable. Therefore the duty of all is to make Krishna their own.

Those who want to advance spiritually must think of the Lord in the same way. They must think of the Lord and Lord alone

Sri Swami Purushottamananda Maharaj of Vasishta Guha

"The object of kirtan, bhajan, puja is to take the mind to the Lord. The mind is always going out. It is very difficult to control it.

So, these are the means to take the mind inside.

As the lovers think of their beloved while eating, drinking or playing and as the misers think of their wealth, those who want to advance spiritually must think of the Lord in the same way. They must think of the Lord and Lord alone. There should be no room for any other thought. Place a signboard 'No entry; the door is closed.'"

It continues to trouble you and will not leave you until you realize your true nature which is the Self

Why is human life so painful? Is it because of Kali Yuga or because of our Karma?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

When a child is ill, the mother gives medicines to it. The child initially refuses to take the medicine owing to its bitterness. For a moment, the mother diverts the attention of the child through some play. Then again, the mother tries to feed the medicine. The mother will continue to do so, without giving up, until the child takes the medicine completely, wouldn't she?

In the same way, God gives us sufferings to realize that the state that you live in is not your true state. When the sufferings become unbearable, he distracts you by giving you a sigh of relief.

However it continues to trouble you and will not leave you until you realize your true nature which is the Self.

The simplest way towards this goal is by chanting the Mahamantra.

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
