One evening, a neighbor saw Mulla Nasrudin searching for something under a street lamp.

 

"What have you lost, Mulla?" the neighbor asked. "My key," said the Mulla. So they both went down on their knees and looked for it. After some time the neighbor asked, "Where exactly did you drop it?"

 

"Over there," said the Mulla, pointing down a dark street.

 

"Then why are you looking here?" asked the neighbour

 

Mulla replied "Because the light is better here!"
