The name is essence

So, the name is essence

Well! We have an object in our hand and do not know what it is. So we enquire, "What is this? What is it called?" Can we not be satisfied with the 'ruchi' (taste), 'sparsha' (touch), the form of the object? But, no, we desire to know the name. Then someone tells us the name of that object. "Oh!" is it this! I have heard of it but have never seen it. So, this is it!" and now his mind is satiated, having learnt the name of the object. So, the name is essence.

Thus we are able to comprehend to a certain extent that there is no difference between the Name of the Lord and the Lord. Don't we?

Feeling that these Forms alone will not suffice for redemption of the world He also became the Divine Names such as 'Hari!' 'Siva!' and is ever alive in these Names.

It is verily the Name of the Supreme One - the one who creates, sustains and rests it in Himself

Name and the Named are but one

God, Guru, Srimad Bhagavatam and God's Divine Name --- all are one and the same.

The Divine Name of the Lord ('Bhagavan Nãma') has the power to redeem one and all.

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
