It is not ours to question why, but to submit to the Divine will, and pass through all experiences that fall to our lot, with a free and cheerful heart.

EPISTLES OF SWAMI RAMDAS

Ramdas repeats that it is not by reasoning that we understand the mystery of God's working. When a man suffers, apparently for no justifiable reason, there is truly a meaning and a purpose in it. If you do not accept the Karma theory, you can take it that God brings the soul of one gone astray back to Himself through suffering. That is His way.

You may ask why God should not employ an easier method. It is so, because certain results are attained by the adoption of only certain suitable means.

Hence it is not ours to question why, but to submit to the Divine will, and pass through all experiences that fall to our lot, with a free and cheerful heart.
