Manusmriti - 2:86

 

ये पाकयज्ञाः चत्वारो विधियज्ञसमन्विताः |

सर्वे ते जपयज्ञस्य कलां नार्हन्ति षोडशीम् ||

 

The four ritualistic sacrifices which has prescribed rules to follow do not match even the part of the benefit derived by Chanting the Divine names of the Lord.
