Mavuli Gnaneshwar Maharaj says, "The body of those who sing HARIPATA by their mouth gets purified. By the powerful effect of this penance (recital of Hari's name) their home becomes verily the Vaikunta (Divine abdode of Lord), that will endure for ages and ages.

 

By chanting His name, even one's parents, brothers, and other loved ones will become united with god.

 

Jnanadev says: The secret of His Name's infinite power was laid in my hands by my Guru, Sri Nivruththinatha.

 

हरिपाठ कीर्ति मुखे जरी गाय ।

पवित्रचि होय देह त्याचा ॥ १ ॥

तपाचे सामर्थ्य तपिन्नला अमूप ।

चिरंजीव कल्प वैकुंठी नांदे ॥ २ ॥

मातृ पितृ भ्राता सगोत्र अपार ।

चतुर्भुज नर होऊनी ठेले ॥ ३ ॥

ज्ञानगूढ गम्य ज्ञानदेवा लाधले ।

निवृत्तीने दिधले माझे हाती ॥ ४ ॥

Thapache samarthye(m) thapinnala amoopa l

Chiranjeeva kalpa Vaikuntee(m) nanthe(m) ll

Gnana goodha gamya Gnanadeva ladhale(m) l

Nivruththeene(m) dile(m) majhya hathee(m) ll
