27^th Oct 2011 is H H Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji's 50^th Jayanthi which is celebrated across the globe by Chanting of Mahamantra, Serving the elders, poor and needy and people in misery.

Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

Through Guru's grace ('katãksha') even the worst sinner can get ashore - in a moment, just as a room which was dark for thousands of years is immediately lit up by taking a lamp into it. The room is not lit up gradually just because it had remained dark for thousands of years.

As soon the lamp is taken in, the room is lit up in one stroke. It is the same with Guru's blessings. Our ignorance is removed in one stroke.

Guru's boundless grace is immeasurable, limitless and infinite.

God takes the form of a Guru and appears to the devotee; teaches him the Truth; purifies the mind by his teachings and contact

To remain in the Holy Feet of the Guru as a 'nobody' (zero); to remain like a doll in his hand. This is the only effort that can be taken by us.
