It is only by the path of love, that God may be approached

Haripath - Sant Gnyaneshwar

Meaning

Bathing in sacred rivers, observing austerities and conducting rituals fail to grant desired results, if done without belief. They end-up as mere physical exertions. These pursuits are like the effort of collecting mercury drops spilled on the ground. Why to resort to these type of troubles when you have Hari like a berry in your palm. My guru Sri Nivruththideva handed down the complete method of reaching the Almighty to me. It is only by the path of love, that God may be approached; There is no other way.
