"in whom all the people take delight for his virtuousness, thus he is Rama."

Sri Adi Shankara gives reference to Padmapurana
"ramante yoginah anante nityAnande cidAtmani"
The yogins revel in Him who is Eternal Bliss, Pure Consciousness and Endless.
He who has a compelling charm about Himself and He who is most Handsome – "ramayati itit rAmah."
In tiruppAvai, Aandal calls Him "manatukku iniyAn."
