Repetition of His holy name gives strength and concentration to prayer.

Nama Article 19th November 2015

EPISTLES OF SWAMI RAMDAS

When Hanuman was dispirited and thought it was not in his power to take the leap to Lanka, a comrade awakened him to the sense of his prowess, which he had forgotten; and he could accomplish the apparently impossible task. So also, the immortal bliss and peace which is within us becomes revealed, when our heart is illumined by the light of knowledge. Saints help us to attain this. They constantly din into our ears what we really are. You are not a despicable worm, sinful and wretched. The Lord of the worlds has His throne in your heart — you are not only in tune with Him eternally but you are His very expression and form.

The object of prayer is to intensify our desire to attain God. When the longing has reached the necessary pitch, realisation comes. Repetition of His holy name gives strength and concentration to prayer. The bowman hits the mark when his mind is perfectly concentrated on his act - when the thought of the mark alone rules the mind.

Please check these: Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

Like a train runs on the track, our life should run on the strength of Mahamantra kirtan.

When our mind catches hold of a God or a Năma (Name of the Lord), the mental strength is protected without being wasted.

If we think of God and pray to Him for His guidance and His grace, we shall derive strength to battle against these temptations and conquer our weaknesses

Surdas says that when a man has exhausted all his resources and invokes the Name of God, His grace descends upon him.

Only through spiritual strength does one attain to purity, and this is possible only through Nama Sankirtan

The power of Nama gives strength to innumerable people

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
