Worshiping the Lord is the common duty for all. He who constantly worships me by Chanting the Divine Names attains firm devotion to Me

Nama Article 12th April  2015

Srimad Bhagavatham 11:18:44

सर्वेषां मद्-उपासनम्

Though, different duties are prescribed for different people, Worshiping the Lord is the common duty for all

Srimad Bhagavatham 11:18:44

इति मां यः स्व-धर्मेण भजेन् नित्यम् अनय-भाक्

सर्व-भूतेषु मद्-भावो मद्-भक्तिं विन्दते दृढाम्

He who constantly worships me by Chanting the Divine Names through the performance of prescribed duties, seeking no other reward, begins to look upon all created beings as Myself and attains firm devotion to Me.

Please check these: Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

The devotee is the best of virtuous, who having completely neglected all his duties, though prescribed by me, while knowing full the virtues (resulting from the performance of duty) and sins (incurred by neglecting them) worships me alone by the Chanting the Divine Names.

The one unchangeable thing is Krishna; others are changeable and hence unreliable. Therefore the duty of all is to make Krishna their own.

He too is the best of all virtuous men, who having completely neglected all duties and worships Me alone by Chanting the Divine Names.

भजते शनकैस् तस्य मनो प्रसीदति - by Chanting my Divine Names one gradually gets purified

The spirit of Devotion cultivated by the recitation of His Name is the best form of virtue and this alone has been declared to be the paramount duty that should be practiced in this world.

For one who chants the name of God, Neither yoga nor the ritual of yajna is needed; The injunctions of duty do not pertain to him; He transcends all illusion.

The highest perfection of human life is to remember the God's Name at the end of life.

Năma Sankirtan has been common for all the Yugas. It only means that it is a 'vishesha dharma' (especially meant for/tailor made) for Kali Yuga.

Do your duty, but do not forget God. If you try to break a jackfruit, your hands will be smeared with its sticky juice. But that won't happen if, beforehand, you rub them with oil.

Our duty is only to take the Nama to people. We will not bother about the results. We are not making anyone chant. It is Lord Krishna who does that.

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
