How can it be said that the nature's fury and calamities in our country are the result of the decline in the Vedas, devotion to the Lord and Temple worship?

Nama Article 12th October 2013

How can it be said that the nature's fury and calamities in our country are the result of the decline in the Vedas, devotion to the Lord and Temple worship? Don't such calamities occur in other countries, too?

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

Let us say that a man suffers intolerable pain due to some disease; and there is another who is healthy. You whip this healthy man. He writhes in pain and cries out, "Stop whipping me." You at once retort, "Look at that ailing man. Is anyone whipping him? He is also writhing in pain. So, there is no connection between the whipping and the pain you suffer."

How would such an explanation sound?

Please check these: Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

The sufferings, as per our scriptures, are three-fold – Due to mind / body, due to other embodied beings, due to natural calamities.

One thing can be said for certain. God is perfect. An imperfection cannot come from the perfect.

Likewise, to pacify God, all that is needed of us is Maha Mantra Kirtan

Thus the calamities of the world are seen as a means for self-improvement.

Glory unto thee….Oh! Mind! I salute thy unmatched courage!

One thing can be said for certain. God is perfect. An imperfection cannot come from the perfect.

Everything in our life is predetermined. All we have to do is to turn and fix our mind on Him!

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
