The dried grass set on fire unites with the fire; Likewise, one who chants Hari’s name gets united into Him.

Haripath - Sant Gnyaneshwar

Meaning

It is enough to chant "Hari" aloud;

Instantly, all your sins will be burnt.

The dried grass set on fire unites with the fire;

Likewise, one who chants Hari's name gets united into Him.

The power of chanting the name of Hari

Cannot be gauged and explained in words;

It has the power to drive away

All manner of evils spirits.

Jnanadev says: My Hari is All-powerful;

Even the Upanishads

Have failed to explain His greatness.
