Sant Kabir

 

O Brother, sing the praises of Lord's Name Rama, Govind, Hari. The effort does not require japa (religious recitations), tapa (austerities) and Sadhana (strenuous religious practices) or the like, nor does it involve any expense. But because of desire for progeny, wealth and pleasures and forgetting God, often lead one astray.

 

Kabir says: He on whose lips the Name of God is not there that mouth is a litter bin.

 

भजो रे भैया राम गोविंद हरी ।

जप तप साधन कछु नहिं लागत, खरचत नहिं गठरी ॥

संतत संपत सुख के कारन, जासे भूल परी ॥

कहत कबीर राम नहीं जा मुख, ता मुख धूल भरी ॥
