This prayer was written by Paramacharya of Kanchi (Jagathguru Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal) to be sung in the U.N. Assembly by Smt. M. S. Subbalakshmi during its 50th anniversary and dealt about universal brotherhood and peace as enshrined by the Sanathana Dharma. When this song was rendered at UNO, all the delegates from the World Nations were given the translation of this song.

Renounce War; Renounce unnecessary Competition for Power

Give up wrongful aggression on others' properties

Mother Earth is wide enough and ready to give us all we desire like a Kaamadenu (celestial cow goddess)

Janako dEvah sakala dayALuh |

God, Our Father, is very Compassionate personified

'dAmyata, datta, dayadhvam' janatA |

So, Oh People of the World; Restrain; Donate; Be Kind to others
