Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji
Mahatma Gandhi says in the last lecture that he offered, just before India gained her Independence, "I tried 'mouna vrata' (vow of silence), I went without food, I waged war through 'ahimsa', 'satya graha' but when all these attempts have failed to free India from foreign rule, I feel that the last resort is for all the people in every home, every village, every Town to get together and chant Rama Nãma!" The Mahatma has declared so. Do not these words of Mahatma Gandhi speak of the glory of Nãma Prabhãva?
