to attain 'Prema Bhakti' it will suffice if one would keep chanting 'Radhe! Radhe!

The intention of continued chanting of the Divine names is to take one to the state of total selfless, unconditional LOVE

Only a pious devotee can acquire Prema Bhakthi through simple devotional acts like Chanting of the Divine Name of Shri Rama

 

In this state, the devotee performs Bhakti for the love of Bhakti. This is the supreme state called as Prema Bhakti.

Shabd barabar dhan nahi, jo koi jaane bol

Heera to damo mile, shabd mol na tol

 

He who Chants the Divine Name understands that there is no wealth like Divine Name. A diamond can be purchased for a value. One do not just have any means for valuation of Divine Name.

எனக்கு பக்தி எப்போது வரும் என்று கேட்கிறாய் ? உண்மையில் பக்தி வேண்டும் என்கிற ஆசை உனக்கு இருந்தால் நாமஜபம் செய்.  சோம்பேறிதனத்தால் என்ன பயன்?  நாமஜபம்செய்யாமல் நூறு தடவை "பக்தி, பக்தி" என்று கூப்பிட்டால் பக்தி வந்துவிடுமா? "வானசாஸ்திரம்! வானசாஸ்திரம்!" என்று கத்தினால் மட்டும்  வானசாஸ்திரி ஆகி விடுவானா ?

 

You ask "when will I develop devotion?" But if you are actually interested in becoming devoted, Chant the Name of the Lord, what is the point in being lazy and screaming from the roof tops "Devotion, Devotion" with out Chanting the Lord's Name ? How will this bestow devotion? Just by screaming "Astronomy! Astronomy!" can one become an astronomer ?

As a man thinketh so he becometh. As you think constantly of God you become God. If you think of the world, your mind will be restless. Therefore, in the first place, you have to establish a relationship with God. Look upon Him as your father or mother and yourself as His son or daughter, and surrender your entire life to Him saying, "I am nothing, O God, You are everything." Then it is that God reveals Himself in your heart in all His splendour. He fills every part of your being and the distinction between you and Him disappears, Christ said, "I and my father are one." That will be true in your case also. Christ is the Cosmic Consciousness, and every one of you, the embodiment of that Consciousness. So by the grace of the Father, Master and Mother, you are raised to that state in which you realise your identity with Him. Thereafter, your eyes see only God everywhere, within and without. All sense of diversity will completely disappear. The fountain of your heart will open and love will flow out towards everybody alike. You have now no enemy in the world. Your heart is replete with ineffable peace and joy. It is not a momentary joy but you have it for all the twenty-four hours of the day. As you have found within you the ocean of joy, you will have no desires for anything in the world.

The more you think about the world, the more your heart is filled with dirt and filth. The more you bring Sri Krishna into your heart, the more it is filled with bliss and peace. Chant the Mahamantra with faith and devotion.

 

What We Think We Become

 

If you think of God day and night, you will acquire the nature of God.

 

So long as a person goes on thinking of worldly things, he will get immersed in the world. So long as he goes on contemplating on the Lord, he gets immersed in the Lord who is the Ultimate Reality.

विन्देत ते तर्हि सर्व-मनीषितार्थम्

 

Sri Markandeya says, "Therefore turning my back upon this body and all that is connected with it – which obscures the Self and serves no real purpose, is unsubstantial and transient, and is only a mere illusion on the base of the Self, I actually take refuge in the soles of the feet of the Supreme by Chanting your Divine Names, The Embodiment of true wisdom, the Director of the soul; for if a man resorts to those feet, he secures from You every object sought for by him.

மண்ணுலக ஆசைகளும் விண்ணுலக ஆசைகளும் கணப்பொழுதில் நல்கிடும் கீர்த்தனம் பாடீரே!

अकामः सर्वकामो वा मोक्षकाम उदारधीः ।

 

It will bestow all kinds of welfare, material and spiritual........

 

When we chant 'Krishna Krishna! Krishna Krishna! Krishna Krishna!'.....

 

You have wished for 'Dharma', 'Artha' (wealth), 'Kama' (ambitions) and 'Moksha' (God). All these four can be attained by performing service to Lord Sri Hari.

 

I am not able to find any way other than the repeated chanting of the Divine Names to gain the purushartas of dharma, artha, kama and moksha in this age of Kali

 

For him who seeks his own good in the shape of what is known by the names of Dharma (religious merit), Artha (wordly riches), Kama (desires) and Moksha (final beatitude), adoration of Sri Hari's feet is the only means to that end.
