We bathe every day. Just because we had a bath yesterday, we do not skip bathing today. We brush our teeth daily. Just because we brushed our teeth yesterday we do not skip brushing our teeth today.

We keep cleaning the accumulated dirt from time to time.

Similarly, we cannot skip chanting Nama today, just because we chanted yesterday. The impurities that accumulate in the mind from time to time should be cleansed by chanting every day.
