The result of austerities is something super natural, while that of Name is Prema.
Another superiority of Name is, that in practicing austerities many super natural powers come in, by which individuals are infatuated and becoming oblivious of their ownselves and of the life of lives and get intoxicated with pride.
But there is no such risk in Name, where with the acquisition of power, Prema develops and renders individuals humble and gentle.

Water of Ganges needs no purification by Mantras. The holiness of Ganga is due to the contact with the feet of Vishnu.
The fact that Name is holier than the Ganges cannot be questioned. Name will show you the true way. No external aid will be needed.

To worship Lord will be difficult once the time is allowed to pass. You will never be able to get any water even if you try million times, unless you store it during the rains. For men, their youth is the rainy season. What do you expect to achieve in the old age, once you allow this happy time to pass by? So I tell you this the proper time to meditate upon the Lord. Nurture carefully the roots of love that have sprouted in youth. All your efforts will be crowned with success in time and then you will be able to withstand heat of the summer as well as to give relief to the wayfarers.
If on the other hand, the roots shrivel up due to heat, million rainy seasons will not be sufficient to do them any good. Therefore make proper use of this priceless time with the greatest of care and judgement. You wasted your youth million times before. If you have shaken off your sleep and regained sobriety this time, make the best use of your youth by worshipping the Lord and repeating His names. Brothers, you are now endowed with evanescent gift of youth, make the best use of it and gratify yourselves. Youth never returns once its lost. This is like the mid-day Sun, a single minute after mid-day and it will gradually go down from the zenith till it is lost.

Catch hold of His sweet Name firmly and your success is certain. Don't forget Krishna and He will not forget you then. He will always be with you and guide you through proper path. Love Him heartily and you will feel His presence always.
Some day or other we must have to leave this world with all its so-called beauty and bounty; nothing in this universe will go with us to the end.
Krishnaji never leaves us and so must try to love Him the most and make Him only, our nearest and dearest one.
Leaving Krishnaji, everything you will go to love with a whole heart, shall undoubtedly show the back in time of need.
Beware of those treacheries and always try to take the safe side. Do this yourself and ask others too to follow.

Name alone will lead you to right path and confer on you all the good graces of our Lord.
Krishna never allows His followers to go astray. No vicissitude ever comes near Krishna Bhaktas.
If you wish to love Krishnaji, love His creatures. If you wish to get mercy in hnads of our Lord, be merciful towards His beings. If you wish to be forgiven, learn to forgive the evildoers. If you like to get friendly help at His hands, be helpful to the needy and poor. If you do one thing for His sake, He will repay you by thousands and thousands. If you help the needy, never in your life will you be harressed by want and necessity.
The one unchangeable thing is Krishna; others are changeable and hence unreliable. Therefore the duty of all is to make Krishna their own.

Life in the world is like rest in a traveller's inn. If for flimsy reasons, it is spent in controversies, the traveller will find lack of energy to resume the journey next day. The proper rest is concentration on one's thought on Lord Hari.
We have come to the world to do allotted works. Then why waste time in useless thoughts and not spend it in chanting the Lord's name and sing His praises.

As a fisherman catches the fish from the deep water with the help of a net, a man can catch that uncatchable One by throwing the net if Name.
One should not be disheartened at failure of initial attempts. By perseverance the uncathable One is sure to be caught in the long run. However one may practice Yoga or austerities, he cannot attain Krishna unless he has faith in Name.
It is to teach this simple way, that the jewel of Golak (Krishna) made His advent at Navadweep and proclaimed with tears in His eyes, "Repeat Name, Oh Jiwas, Repetition of Name will create Love. Hari will be yours when you attain Love."
There may be other ways but none so simple and elegant. That is the reason why the Kali Yuga is the most blessed of the four ages.

Name of Hari will remove all dangers and obstacles. Avoid misunderstandings from all quarters, so that you do not cause the slightest pain to anybody. Try to keep everybody in joy and happiness. Please everybody with sweet words. Try to remove other people's distress to the best of your ability. Do not wrangle or quarrel with anybody.
Do not go to any assembly except for the sake of taking Name. Love Krishna's Name more than life itself. Do not go in for religious discussion with anyone. Know it in your heart of hearts that the sole object of worship is Krishna. Mix with a free heart with those who are constantly devoted to Nitai and Gour. Say nothing about your religion to any and everybody.

Let the mind wander as it likes. Name is necessary to concentrate the mind. What is the use of breaking a trained horse? But one has to adopt various stratagems to bring an untrained horse under control. The object of worship is just to bring the mind under control.
When one starts taking the Name, the mind like a horse tries to wander about. Pay no attention to it but cling tighter to the Name of the Lord.
You will find that your mind and speech would have come under your control within a short time.
Do not forget the Divine Name on any account and do not listen to others in this regard.
