Yes, whenever you are in trouble, just call this beggar's name with faith. My father will rush help to you immediately. We have a contract – Myself and My father. Whoever calls my Name, My father will immediately rush help. This work must be done. It is that all that we can do. But this beggar will tell you, it won't fail. It is not for this beggar to talk of these philosophies. He is here to to talk with the people and mingle with them.

"Mahăns lead a pure life. They always life a life of meditation. We see that even such people are not free from diseases and suffer in their last days. Bhagawăn Rămakrishna Paramahamsa, Bhagawăn Ramana, Bhagawăn Yogirămsuratkumăr suffered from cancer in their last days.

 

There is no concept of 'poorva janma păpa' (sins carried over from previous births) in the case of Avathăra Purushăs (exemplar souls). That being the case, the reason why they suffer so much agony is because the sins get passed on to these Mahăns from all those who come unto them, all those whose food they partake, all those to whom they give Mantra Deeksha (imparting of the Holy Name), all those whose sorrows they remove and all those who they touch.

 

Can they not prevent themselves from getting these sins? They can definitely prevent! But that would mean that others will not be able to cherish their goodness - namely the growth in spiritual path,the diminishing of the sorrows etc. This happens because of some divine connection between the Guru and the person who comes for favors", says Sri Swamiji.

"The Photographs of Mahans possess divinity in them. As one meditates on these, the divinity in them increases. Clicking too many photographs or videos of people who do tapas (practice spiritual austerities) reduces their tapas (spiritual power).

 

If any devotee were not in good health, Bhagavãn Yogiramsuratkumar would keep his (the devotee's) photograph beside him and stroke it as he performed japa and the devotee would regain his health. This has happened many a time. There is no difference between Mahans and their photographs."

'Kăsum pirappum kalakalappa kaiperndu' - The 'ăicchiis' (the Yadava women) wear two 'thăliis' (the auspicious mark worn by married women in a chain around the neck). One made of thread and the other of gold ('Kăsum pirappum'). They wear glass bangles and with their hands churn the curd with the 'mathu' (wooden rod used to churn curd). Every sound possesses a power. Every 'dwani' (sound) is like a 'Mantra'. One is forbidden to draw 'kolam' with charcoal piece because it is believed the house will be burgled. The lines drawn are like the Yantar. The 'kolam' lines drawn in this manner draws burglars. When we draw 'kolam' we should not do it on water. It attracts bad spirits. We should always speak only good, positive things. Utter such words as - 'sowkyamă', 'santhoshamă' That is, always speak positively - 'I am comfortable; I am happy.'

This is because power is inherent in words. Whatever we keep thinking or uttering would one day turn out to be true in our life.

 

The words that a saint or a sage utters are not empty sounds that he makes. They are forces that are released like atom bombs; they can manifest themselves in the physical world and events can take place

 

Yogi has said to his devotee, 'This place is not for all. It is only for a few. My Father selects the persons and sends them. That is all!'

 

Words are vibration bombs which have power to explode the rocks of difficulties and create the change desired

 

Hence mantras are not only mere combination of words or descriptions of God but they are God themselves.

Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

 

The bhăvas of Mahăns are different. You should take note of their deep desire and intense sădhana to attain Bhagavăn. Yogirămsuratkumăr did intense Rama japa for 40 long years. How many follow this? We may copy a Mahăn in his physical attributes but what about the sădhana that he has done? Yogirămsuratkumăr left everything to attain Bhagavăn. He did incessant Rama năma japa.

 

If you get Mantropadesa from a Uttama Guru what will it do? It will chase you. It will take you to the highest siddhi. Therefore, if you spend this 'manushya janma' (human birth) without doing japa, dhyăna, then you are only a bundle of flesh ('mămsa pindam'). Is there any use of 'mămsa pindam'? The pigs, the dogs etc. also take birth. They too eat. What is the difference between you and the animals if you also behave in the same manner? So, what should you do? Exert effort in the path to reach Bhagavăn.

 

Once we have taken 'upadesa' from a Sadguru, it will chase us. The Mantra will bring Bhagavăn to us.

A big personage asked with his hands folded, "Swami, Is there any order for me to execute?" Bhagawan immediately replied, "No, No. This Begger cannot dictate orders. I implore to you that you never forget and always remember Lord"

To collect people living around one's home and help them chant the Lord's Name is verily service to the Guru. Or to follow the special instruction given to him/her by the Guru is verily 'service' to the Guru.

 

The service that God has entrusted upon your shoulders is to lend them to me!

 

அவதார புருஷர்கள் ஸங்கல்ப மாத்திரத்திலேயே எதையும் ஸாதிக்க வல்லவர்கள். அவர்களுடைய அவதார கார்யத்தில் நம்மையும் பங்கு கொள்ளச் செய்வது என்பது, நமக்கு அந்த பாக்யத்தை அளிப்பதற்கே ஆகும்.

My Devotees are content with serving Me with Loving Devotion;  They do not accept even Saalokya ( Staying in the same world as the Lord), Sameepya (Staying near the Lord), Saaroopya (Having the same form as The Lord), Or Saayujya (Unity with the Lord) which are offered to them

 

Take all effort to fulfill our Guru's 'lakshya' (aim) and desire. This is what I truly desire.

 

But for those who perform service in the Ãshram, for the sake of the Guru, the Guru's darshan is their only desire.  These people will definitely attain Moksha, whether or not their Guru attains it

 

If it is even possible for you to make one other person chant the Mahamantra, that is the greatest service you can do to Him

 

To have the opportunity to serve a Mahatma in some way is indeed the rarest of the rarest.

 

So if you keep chanting Mahamantra, actually the Guru reaches you!

 

Take the Name constantly. That is the best Seva.

காளிதாசனின் ரகுவம்சத்தில் உள்ள, "சொல்லும் பொருளும் பிரிக்க முடியாதவை" என்ற இந்த வரிகளின் அர்த்தம் என்ன? நீங்கள் "ராமன்" என்று சொல்லும்பொழுது, ராமன் உங்களோடு இருக்கிறான். "சிவா" என்று சொல்லும்பொழுது, சிவன் கூடவே இருக்கிறார். "யோகி ராம்சுரத்குமார்" என்று சொல்லும் பொழுது என் தந்தை கூடவே இருக்கிறார்.

 

What is the meaning of the verse "Word and its meaning are inseparable" written by Kalidas in Raghuvamsa ? When you say "Rama" Lord Rama is with you. When you say "Siva" Lord Siva is with you. When you say "Yogiramsuratkumar", My father is with you.

Thus we are able to comprehend to a certain extent that there is no difference between the Name of the Lord and the Lord. Don't we?

 

God's Name is superior than God's form

 

Even though there is complete identity between God and His name, the former closely follows the latter

 

A mantra is that which protects us when we chant it.........we cannot, by analysis, discover the essence

 

Hence mantras are not only mere combination of words or descriptions of God but they are God themselves.

 

The words that a saint or a sage utters are not empty sounds that he makes. They are forces that are released like atom bombs; they can manifest themselves in the physical world and events can take place

 

All mantras we use are based on the science of "Naadam" -- the secrets hidden in sound

 

One great advantage of Mantra Yoga over other methods is that it is a discipline which is at once self-sufficient and independent

 

Bodendra swami, in His 'Bhagavan Nama rasodayam' says angrily, 'do you think it the Name of some Tom, Dick and Harry? It is verily the Name of the Lord of the Universe ('Jagadeeshwara's Name)!

 

वागर्थाविव सम्प्रुक्तौ वागर्थप्रतिपत्तये जगतः पितरौ वन्दे पार्वतीपरमेश्वरौ

 

The Name of Lord Rama is greater than Brahma, Lord Shiva chose this Divine Name Rama for Himself out of Sri Rama's story comprising of 100 crore versus

 

ராம நாமவை "ஜகத் ப்ரதம மங்களம்" என்று காளிதாஸன் கொண்டாடுகிறான்.

ஒரு பெரிய பிரமுகர் பகவானிடம், "ஸ்வாமி, நான் தங்களுக்கு ஏதாவது சேவை செய்ய முடியுமா ?" என்று கேட்டவுடன் பகவான் உடன் , "கடவுளை மறக்காமல் நினைத்துக் கொண்டு இருங்கள். அதுவே, இந்த பிச்சைகாரனுக்கு செய்யும் மிகப் பெரிய சேவை." என்றார்
