Kabir is saying: the mouth that is good is the mouth from which the Name of Rama is uttered. And the mouth that does not utter the Name of Rama – what reason is there for that mouth [to be]?

A poor man, who continuously repeats the Name of that Lord Rama, who exists in everyone, may be possessing a dilapidated house, but even his dilapidated house is good. But a temple or palace, which is made of gold, must be set on fire, in which there is no discourse on the true knowledge imparted by a Sadguru.

Sant Kabir

नाम जो रत्ती एक है, पाप जु रत्ति हजार।

आध रत्ति घट संचरै, जारि करे सब छार।॥

Like a very small sparkle of fire can burn and incinerate a huge pile of things, in the same manner, a very little of Divine Name imparted by a Sadguru can be more than sufficient. The impact of Divine Name imparted by Sadguru is greater than the impact of the consequences of the thousand times more of sinful deeds. Slightest of true knowledge in one's life can remove the greatest of defects and vices of a person.

We may have taken thousands of births, committed millons of sins and accumulated numerous vaasanaas (imprints of past thoughts/actions). No matter how collossal that figure is, it is unquestionably well within the realm of the finite 

Though the Sun's rays are spread equally all over, yet when they are passed through a lens thus directing them through a single point they have the power to burn up

One can attain Liberation if he Chants the Single Name of the Lord again and again. Chanting the Name of the Lord is like traveling in the right direction

Is it then surprising if such a mind does not remain steadfast on a single path of worship?

Chanting a single Divine Name of the Lord ('eka Năma') helps the chanter deepen his concentration and also helps in sustaining the chanting for long hours effortlessly

A single Divine Name is so powerful that one cannot commit as many sins as it can erase even if he were to take a vow to commit only sins.

Just as an arrow travelling towards its target, the Naama does not stop its work until it shows God to us.

Fire of the Divine Name of the Lord' will burn down all impurities and lead the purified soul to Him

Some chant the Lord's Name for extricating their sins. Some do it for the sheer joy experienced in the mere chanting.

Singing of the Divine Name. It will burn up the accumulated sins of all your previous births—Jalatila pape janmantacha

Divine Name "Govinda" if remembered once, quickly destroys the sins of men, accumulated in hundreds of births, as fire burns up cotton.

'Poya pizhaiyum pugutharuvăn ninranavum theeyinil thoosăgum! Cheppelo rembăvăi'. All these three types of karmas will be burnt away in the fire ( 'theeyinil thoosăgum').

"svalpamapyasya dharmasya trayate mahato bhayat¨"Even a little practice of this Dharma protects one from the greatest fear."Chanting of each Nama will definitely yield result.

लेनेको हरि नाम है, देने को अन्नदान

तरने को आधीनता डूबन को अभिमाना

 

In this world the only thing to take is the Name of God and the only thing to give is food; The only thing to liberate us is humble devotion, and the only thing to drown us is egotism.

 

Only a humble person can walk on the path of devotion and get liberation from this worldly ocean. An egotistic person never gets liberation. If you want liberation, be humble. Devotion leads you to salvation and egotism to bondage.

The mind that is thought to be undefeatable, drawn by the soft melody of the 'Nãma' becomes humble, soft and obedient.

 

'If man is Humble and Adheres to His Guru's word always, he becomes a maHAn'

 

So many people admit, "I am repeating the Name, but the mind is wandering. What can I do?" The cause is he thinks he is doing it. He must be humble enough to admit that God is doing it — not merely orally saying but feeling so

कली काल ततकाल है, बुरा करौ जिनि कोइ।

अनबावै लोहा दाहिणै बोबै सु लुणता होइ॥

 

In this iron age, religious gathering and chanting of God's name is the boat to cross the ocean;

Sant Kabir says that there are no other means to liberation for the common people in this world.

 

In this age people do not have time to do austerity. They cannot pray to God all the time, so the best way for them is to gather to pray and to chant God's name. This is a simple path for them to attain salvation.

What is the essence of all the Shastras, the Brahma Sutra, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, etc.

 

आलोङ्य सर्व शास्त्राणि विचार्यच पुनः पुनः। इदमेकं सुनिष्पन्नं ध्येयो नारायण सदा ॥

 

This is the essence of all Vedas. This is the greatest among all mantras. Nectarine Rama Nama is the heart of Vedas.

 

All acts performed are only so much useless labor if it fails to generate love towards the Lord.

 

Man feels that only the most difficult is the highest, the most difficult way is the best way. This is a very wrong notion

 

Whether your interest be in Yoga, Meditation or Vedanta, chanting Mahamantra for some time will purify your mind and enable you to proceed in your own path comfortably

Essence of Srimad Bhãgavatam

 

The essence of the endless Vedas is this : Seek the shelter of God and repeat His name with all thy heart.

 

What is spirituality and spiritual path? How can I continuously progress on this path?

 

Path of liberation is really simple. Chanting Divine Names incessantly leads us there in due course of time, as pointed out by great Mahatmas.

कबीर कुत्ता राम का मोतिया मेरा नाऊ

गले राम की जेवड़ी जित खैंचे तित जाऊं

 

Kabir says: "I am the faithful dog of God. My name is Moti (pearl).

He put the collar of His name around my neck. Wherever He pulls, I follow".

 

Sant Kabir teaches the way of complete surrender for the devotee. Just as a loyal dog follows it's master and accepts whatever his master gives him, similarly, the devotee follows the will of God, and does not worry about anything. God takes care of the devotee.

बड़ी काल की बाजी

Oh Sadhu this is the village of the dead

The Saints have died, The God's messengers die

The Life-Filled Yogis die too 

The Kings die so do the subjects

The physicians dies as the sick die

The Moon dies the Sun dies

The Earth and the sky die too

even the caretakers of the Fourteen Worlds die

then who can hope to live

The Nine die, The Ten die

The Eighty Eight die too

The Thirty Three crore devatas die

It's a big game of Kaal

The Un-Named Naam Lives without any end

There is no any other Truth

Says Kabir listen Oh Sadhu

Don't be lost and die again in delusion.
