गोपकुमारिकोवाच

अजानता किमुक्तं मां कृष्णदासीं त्वया पितः

वृतो हि नृत्यगोपालः पूर्वमेव मया पतिः |

स एव मम भर्तास्तु नान्यं पतिमहं वृणे

कथमन्यं पुमांसञ्च प्रप्तुमर्हति मे मनः

प्रेम्णस्तु लक्ष्यमेकं हि तत्प्रप्तुं जीवितं मम

पातिव्रत्यं नाशयितु कथमिच्छसि मे पितः   

श्रीसद्गुरुरुवाच

एवमुक्त्वाsथ कन्या सा बाष्पाकुलविलोचना

रुरोद कृष्ण कृष्णेति निःश्वसन्ती मुहुर्मुहुः 

Gopakumari said

My dear father! Don't you know my mind? Long back, I had chosen Natanagopala as my master and refuge.

Only He is my husband. How will my heart accept anybody else as my spouse now ? Love has only one aim. Only to attain that I am alive. How did you decide to make me lose my chastity talking of another man to be my husband?
