Angad stamped his one feet firmly on the ground reciting the divine name 'Sri Ram and threw a challenge

GLORY OF RAMA NAM

Sri Ram said, "Oh Angad! Go to Lanka and negotiate with Ravan to achieve our objective and enemy's welfare." 

Angad entered the court of Ravan. Angad tried his best to clarify and pacify Ravan but in vain. At the last, to show the power of the divine name 'Ram', Angad stamped his one feet firmly on the ground reciting the divine name 'Sri Ram and threw a challenge;

समुझि राम प्रताप कपि कोपा। सभा माझ पन करि पद रोपा॥

जौं मम चरन सकसि सठ टारी। फिरहिं रामु सीता मैं हारी॥

If any one of you is powerful enough to lift my foot from the ground, I shall loose Sita and Sri Ram shall go back. All the powerful demons in the court came turn by turn to lift the foot but failed even to stir the foot of Angad. Then, King Ravan himself got up from his throne. He came close to Angad and bent down to catch the foot of Angad. At this very moment, Angad said- Oh King Ravan! You will not get liberation by surrendering at my feet. Why not go and surrender at the lotus feet of Sri Ram, by whose grace and power I had put a challenge to all of you. Ravan felt ashamed and went back.

Angad again tried to make Ravan seethe power of Sri Ram but it fell on deaf ears. Angad left the court of Ravan and returned to his camp. At the camp, Angad fell prostrate at the lotus feet of Sri Ram, on whose faith, Angad had thrown a challenge putting Sita at stake. Angad narrated the whole episode to the delight of the entourage.
