Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji on ThiruppAvai
First they sang the 'param'- Narayanane namakke paraitharuvăn.
Next they sing 'părkadalil paiyathuyinra paraman adipădi' - This is 'Vyooham' of Bhagavăn who is in ocean of divine milk ('Ksheerabdi').
Thirdly they sing the 'Vibhavam'. Vibhavam means an Incarnation ('Avatăr'). "Ongi ulagallanda uthaman perpădi".
Ăndăl could have sung the 'Purna-avatărs' such as Rama or Krishna avatăr. But she has sung neither. Though Bhagavăn killed Ravana, Kamsa and innumerable other asuras, in the case of Bali instead of killing him the Lord takes him unto His fold ('thaduth ătkolgirăn'). Bhagavan eliminated whatever fault Bali had. Bhagavan 'saw' only Bali's virtues ('gunas'); through these 'gunăs' took him unto His fold and made him his devotee. Pirătti only likes to correct and accept everyone and does not desire to punish ('sikshai') or destroy anyone
Neengăda selvam niraindelo rembăvai'
All those who perform Năma Sankîrtan will be blessed with prosperity. All the comforts of life are bestowed. Not only this but also Moksham (Liberation). It is Liberation that is eternal wealth. So, one who performs Năma Sankîrtan is blessed with both worldly and eternal benefits.
While looking into the subtle ('sukshma') meaning, Mahătmăs say, "Neengada selvam (everlasting wealth) is only Krishna bhakti. "
Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
