समुझत सरिस नाम अरु नामी।

प्रीति परसपर प्रभु अनुगामी।।

 

The name and the object named though similar in significance are allied as master and servant, one to the other. (That is to say, even though there is complete identity between God and His name, the former closely follows the latter even as a servant follows his master. The Lord appears in person at the very mention of His Name).

Thus we are able to comprehend to a certain extent that there is no difference between the Name of the Lord and the Lord. Don't we?

It is verily the Name of the Supreme One - the one who creates, sustains and rests it in Himself

People say that we should worship God without expecting any reward? Is it true?

 

 

Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji:

 

As described in our scriptures, a devotee can be viewed at three different levels, Aarthi, arthaarthi and Jignyasu.

•           An 'Aarthi' is one who worships the lord for the removal of sufferings.

•           An 'Arthaarthi' is one who performs Bhakti to the Lord to bless Him with more wealth and fortune

•           A Jignyasu prays to the Lord for spiritual elevation, divine visions and Liberation.

Above all of these, there is a fourth level, where the devotion is unconditional. In this state, the devotee performs Bhakti for the love of Bhakti. This is the supreme state called as Prema Bhakti.

 

Thus none of the levels is right or wrong. It purely depends on the individual's attitude and bhaava.

 

The easier method to do this is by winning God's grace. If Maha Mantra is chanted with utmost faith and devotion, He will bring a proper transformation in your mind.

The Magic Touch

 

Yogiramsuratkumar always chanted the Ram Nam. By sheer power of Rama Nama, he cured innumerable diseases, blessed so many devotees with money, power wealth etc who came to him with mundane, worldly problems.

 

Sin does not touch the person who constantly chants the name of Hari. The person shall also have no dearth for prosperity. Is there an easier way than this?

 

What is the best boon to ask for from God?

 

When he becomes conscious of a greater Power governing the world, he approaches it through prayer for the fulfilment of his needs

 

You have wished for 'Dharma', 'Artha' (wealth), 'Kama' (ambitions) and 'Moksha' (God).

 

Because this man has chanted My holy name, My duty is to give him protection

 

The Name of the Lord - this alone is my wealth.

Why hast thou given up Ramanama? Why wilt thou not trust God and leave body, mind and wealth?

Why hast thou given up Ramanama? Thou hast not given up anger nor falsehood, why hast thou given up truthful speech? Being immersed in this false show why hast thou abandoned the original home? Thou hast treasured a cowrie, why hast thou neglected the ruby? Why hast thou given up remembering that which is the source of all happiness? Khalus says: Why wilt thou not trust God and leave body, mind and wealth?

 

नाम जपन क्यों छोड दिया ?

क्रोध न छोडा, झूठ न छोडा, सत्यवचन क्यों छोड दिया ? ।।

झूठे जगमें दिल ललचा कर, असल वतन क्यों छोड दिया ?

कौडीको तो खूब सम्हाला, लाल रतन क्यों छोडड दिया ? ।। १ ।।

जिहि सुमिरनते अति सुख पावे, सो सुमिरन क्यों छोड दिया ?

खालस ईक भगवान भरोसे, तन, मन, धन क्यों न छोड दिया ? ।। २ ।।

It is not God, but you who should take the blame for, it was you who did not chant the Divine Name !

 

But if one remembers God by chanting the God's Name during happy moments itself, Kabir asks, "How can they ever be unhappy?"

 

Of numerous people oppressed by Cold, fire protects from cold and relieves the suffering of those alone who approach the fire

 

They sleep by night and work during the day |

but they do not chant the Name of Lord Hari, even for an instant. ||

 

Honour or dishonour, happiness or distress whatever befalls a Vaishnava he should remember Lord Hari and accept them all.

 

Ours is to do the work entrusted to us by Him in the field of action in which He has chosen to place us.
