What worse degradation can there be for man that instead of regarding his body as an instrument of worshipping his Maker, he should make it the object of adoration and waste money like water to keep it going anyhow?

 

Ramanama, on the other hand, purifies while it cures, and, therefore, it elevates.

Would a man, even though very wealthy, spend extravagantly for a rented house towards its renovation or on some other ground? He would spend only towards some compelling need. Likewise, beautifying and excessive nourishment are not required for the body which is the little house that the jiva occupies. It would suffice to provide the body with only the essentials.

 

One should devote and Chant the Divine Names of the Supreme embodiment of Truth, the store house of bliss and should not feel attached to any other object; for such attachment brings about the degradation of the soul.
