Srimad Bhagavatham 11:2:31

 

धर्मान् भागवतान् ब्रूत यदि नः श्रुतये क्षमम्

यैः प्रसन्नः प्रपन्नाय दास्यत्य् आत्मानम् अप्य् अजः

 

If we are qualified to hear them, please tell us the Bhagavatha Dharma which pleases the Lord,  with which that birthless Lord confers His very self upon His votary.

How loving and merciful is Lord Krishna? You surrender to Him. He says ,"I need not protect you. I will bestow you with this power!" and transforms the devotee as verily Himself.

 

कौमार आचरेत् प्राज्ञो धर्मान् भागवतान् इह । दुर्लभं मानुषं जन्म तद् अप्य् अध्रुवम् अर्थदम् ॥

 

He is so generous that He gives away His own self to those who contemplate on His lotus-feet. Also bestows wealth and objects of worldly enjoyment, which are after all not very desirable things
