Srimad Bhagavatham 4:22:39

 

यत्-पाद-पङ्कज-पलाश-विलास-भक्त्या

कर्माशयं ग्रथितम् उद्ग्रथयन्ति सन्तः

तद्वन् न रिक्त-मतयो यतयो'पि रुद्ध-

स्रोतो-गणास् तम् अरणं भज वासुदेवम्

 

Resort as your sole refuge to the Lord Vasudeva by Chanting his Divine Names.

It is by fixing the thought on the splendor of the very toes of whose lotus-feet pious souls through Bhakthi cut asunder the knot of egotism formed by Karmas.

Even hermits who have emptied their mind (of all thoughts of the world) and having withdrawn their senses would not be able to do so with out that Bhakthi.
