Once the ultimate reality is known, how can there be worldly life any more?

Nama Article 4th January 2013

Bhaja Govindham – Adi Shankara

What lustful enjoyments can there be when one is very old? How can there be a lake when the water has dried up?

What followers can one have when one's wealth is exhausted? Once the ultimate reality is known, how can there be worldly life any more?

Please check these: Excerpts from a discourse by our Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji

So, when chanted incessantly, they destroy our sleep called ignorance, thereby causing the dream called world to vanish and awaken us to the state of Reality!

This world is unreal. It is like a mirage. I can attain immortality and eternal bliss if I realise the Self only

To awaken us to the state of Truth, we need sounds which are above this worldly plane and are established in Reality. These sounds or 'Shabdas' (divine sounds) are mantras like the Mahamantra.

Reality is our true nature. We are wrongly persisting in unreality, that is, thoughts and worldly activities. Cessation of these will reveal the Truth.

I have applied a special eye lotion called "Guru's grace". Now I don't see anything except Ram.

'Ra' is Reality, 'Ma' is the mind

Chant the Mahamantra Nama kirtan :

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
