இந்தக் கலிகாலத்துக்கென்றே ஏற்பட்ட மருந்து - தித்திப்பு மருந்து - நாம பாராயணமும், பஜனையும். இவற்றைத் தாங்களாகவே ஆரம்பித்துப் பண்ணலாம்.

 

ப்ரணவமும, 'நம'வும் சேர்க்காமல், 'சிவ, ராம, நாராயண கோவிந்த' முதலான, எந்த தெய்வத்தின் நாமாவையும் ஒருத்தர் தானாகவே ஜபிக்கலாம். இங்கேயுங்கூட முதலில் குட்டியாக ஒரு த்யானம் நல்லது. அந்த நாமாவைக் சொல்லி ஸ்வாமியைக்கண்டுகொண்ட ஒருத்தரை குருவாக தியானித்தால் அதுவே ஒரு பக்கம் விநயம், இன்னொரு பக்கம் டானிக்!

வெறும் நாமாவையுங்கூட ஒரு நாம ஸித்தாந்தப் பெரியவரிடம் க்ரமப்படி உபதேசம் வாங்கிக்கொண்டால் நிச்சயமாக அது விசேஷந்தான். ஆனால் அத்ற்கு ஸெளகர்யப்படவில்லையென்பதற்காக ஒத்திப் போடவேண்டாம், தானாகவே ஆரம்பித்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்றுதான் சொல்கிறேன். அப்புறம் ஸெளகரியம் ஏற்படுகிறபோது ஒரு பெரியவரிடமிருந்து உபதேசமாவும் பெற்றுக் கொண்டால் விசேஷம்....

For the un-initiated, it is important to be initiated. However, you do not need to wait until you get initiated by a proper Guru

 

Do not give up chanting of any Naama of Bhagavaan that you have been chanting on your own. This will certainly lead you to a Sadguru who will give 'upadesa' (initiation) of a Mantra

 

What does this Lord's Name that is got through Guru Upadesa, do?

 

Mahamantra can be chanted anytime, anywhere and by anyone. However it gives multi-fold benefits if chanted after initiation from a Guru.

 

When the Guru gives you 'upadesa' of the Divine Name, He bestows His 'tapas' along with it.

 

Likewise, when a person, however impure he may be, when touched by the initiation of a Guru, he is purified.

 

If the fruit of the upadesa received from a Mahan could work into an inert thing what can it not bestow on one who does japa of it?

If you keep chanting Bhagavan Năma, She ('Prithvi') will not consider you a burden. 'Nirbhayo nirbaro'. The world should not be a burden to you and you should not be a burden to anyone.

How then can one fear to walk on this path? We can, therefore, move fearlessly ('nirbhayanăi') on this path.

निर्भयो निर्भरो भूत्वा गोविन्दं शरणं गतः यः स्मरेत्तस्य नामानि स हि भागवतोत्तमः

Vaishnava Samhita - Kishori Madhuri Charitam. Vol II Book V Chp 17 Shlokas 24, 25

अन्यत्र ममतां भक्तो न कुर्यादेकनिष्ठया

श्रित्या कृष्णयादाब्जं निर्थयो निर्भरो भवेत्

एवं तौ भ्रातरौ भक्तौ दृढवैराग्यसम्युतौ

ऊषतुर्यमुनातीरे कृष्णकीर्तनतत्परौ

A devotee should not get attached to anybody other than Shri Krishna. Taking shelter in the cool shade of the holy feet of Shri Krishna alone, he should lead a life free of cares and fears.

Those two brothers lived on the bank of the Yamuna in this way only. They had unflinching faith and deep devotion. They were free of all attachments and spent their lives only in singing the glories and chanting the Divine Names of Shri Krishna.

न यद्वचश्चित्रपदं हरेर्यशो जगत्पवित्रं प्रगृणीत कर्हिचित्।

तद्ध्वाङ्क्षतीर्थं न तु हंससेवितं यत्राच्युतस्तत्र हि साधवोऽमलाः

[12.12.50]

Words or speech, containing picturesque expressions, but which do not eulogize the Lord's deeds and glory which purify the whole world, are considered only as kakatirtha infested by crows and not as manasarovar which is populated by swans.  Those of pure mind are present only where Achyuta is praised.

It depends upon the grace of God. He bestows His grace upon anyone He likes. Grace is the important thing

"Do you know, my child, what it is like? It is just like a candy in the hand of a child. Some people beg the child to part with it. But he does not care to give it to them. Still he easily hands it over to another whom he likes. A man performs severe austerity and spiritual practices throughout his life to realize God, but he does not succeed, whereas another man gets his realization practically without any effort. It depends upon the grace of God. He bestows His grace upon anyone He likes. Grace is the important thing."

Likewise, it would suffice if we do not block the Grace that is being sent out.

One can continuously Chant the Divine Names of the God only by God's grace. But, if we think we are Chanting the Names, then the Sadhana would not give result.

The easiest way to attain the Grace of Bhagavan is to chant his Năma

That love, can sprout only by his grace. His grace descends when we chant the Mahamantra.

Mechanical chanting is the only starting point we can attempt. It matures to love by grace.

Bhagavăn might (without any reason) just bestow liberation on anyone. This is very rare, though.

He whom the Self chooses, by him the Self can be gained.

Lord should desire to take you unto Him

You didn't choose me, but I chose you

Therefore with out Lord's mercy and grace by what other means can one expect to realize the true nature - महद्-अनुग्रहम् अन्तरेण

You may do crores of japa, dhayna; do anything; but, unless Bhagavăn Wills to take you unto Him no amount of your sadhana will bear fruit.

Only through causeless mercy does He reveals Him

By the mere Will of God even the lowliest of the low can, in a matter of a second, receive the Grace and become a Jnăni.

Even if he gets a single good thought or recites the Divine Names of God once, the first thought that comes to him is, 'this happened because of the boundless grace of my Guru'!

When one believes in the grace of the Lord alone and totally surrenders to Him, he is liberated in the very same birth.

Likewise, it would suffice if we do not block the Grace that is being sent out.

God's grace always flows in abundance. It is upto you to be ready to receive it.

God's boundless grace though, is immeasurable, limitless and infinite!

Lord Krishna's holy name is the only auspiciousness in this world. If one keeps it in his throat, then what is Yamaraja, the king of the other world, to him? What are Yamaraja's sevants to him?
