सत्सङ्गमे तु संप्राप्ते निःसङ्गेन च किं सुखं
हरिनाम्नि स्थिते दिव्ये वृथा मौनव्रतं सताम्
हरिप्रसादेन संप्राप्ते नरा दुर्भाग्यशालिनः
उपवासं प्रकुर्वन्ति चित्तषुद्ध्यै दृढव्रताः
Satsangame Tu Sampraapte Nihsangena Cha Kim Sukham
Harinaamni Sthite Divye Vruthaa Maunavratam Sataam
Hariprasaadena Sampraapte Naraa Durbhaagyashaalinah
Upavaasam Prakurvanti Chittashuddhyai Drudhavrataah
When one is fortunate to mingle in the association ofthe noble devotees (sadhu - sanga), then what pleasure is left in solitude?
When the Divine Name of Shri Hari is there to be chanted, observing the vow of silence is fruitless.
Even when Shri Hari's prasada (the remnants of the offerings made to the Lord), is available, some unfortunate men subject themselves to fasting in order to obtain purity of mind.
