तस्माद् अर्थाश् च कामाश् च धर्माश् च यद्-अपाश्रयाः
भजतानीहयात्मानम् अनीहं हरिम् ईश्वरम्
Therefore, worship by Chanting the Divine Names through desirelessness, the desireless and almighty Sri Hari, your very Self, on whom riches, enjoyments and pious acts depend.

All that we do viz. meditation (dhyana), chanting the DivineName (namajapa), Yoga,Self- enquiry (atmavichara) for attaining God will never go in vain. One has to attain the Lord: if not in this birth God has to be attained in some birth. One has to do sadhana (spiritualpractice) in that birth, is it not? Better late than never. When one is afflicted with a disease all that we can do is to admit him in a hospital for treatment. It is the doctor who has to discharge and send him backhome. Similarly, until we attain the state of liberation we have to be born again and again, and meet with death. Further, this humanbirth has been given by the Lord only to erase out the sins earned over several births; this is truly a boon given by the Lord.

The Name is compared to a bridge that connects both the banks of a river. The banks represent the personal and impersonal aspects of the Divine. By becoming a votary of the Name you have the vision of the personal God on one side and knowledge of the Impersonal on the other. But you must get the taste of the Name, and not take it mechanically. The mind must be attuned to the Name.
All the attributes of God must flash before our mind when we take the Name, because the Name is the very embodiment of God. When the mind is attuned to the Name and tastes its sweetness, it is as good as tasting God Himself and we attain liberation in this very life.

There has been a lot of questions if our philosophy is Advaitham or Vishistaadvaitham or Dvaitham or Achintya Bhedaabheda, etc. When we brought this to our beloved Sri Swamiji's notice, this is the divine response from Sri Swamiji:
'Even amongst the various mathas (sects) which accept the Vedas, there are some sub-sects within the Vedic Religion of Sanatana Dharma which do not accept a Supreme God like Sankhya system of philosophy. We generally know only three main philosophies in Vedanta – Advaitham, Vishistaadvaitham and Dvaitham, but there are many more systems of philosophies like Suddhaadvaitham by Sri Vallabhacharya, Eka-Deiva-Vaadam by an Assamese Acharya (Sri Sankaradeva), Sivaadvaitham by Sri Appayya Dikshitar and many more! So there are many systems of philosophies like this in this world!
Even within Advaitha systems, there many subsects like Ajaata Vaadam, Shrusti Dhrusti Vaadam, Dhrusti Shrusti Vaadam and so on. Similarly in Sri Vaishnava Samparadaya philosophy there are two main sub sects – Vadakalai and Thenkalai...'
So Sri Swamiji said whatever philosophy these Mahaans have established, we never criticize, nor do we object to any Mahatma. We find all philosophies acceptable.
What is our philosophy then?
Chant mahamantra and realize the ultimate
What is that ultimate is the decision of Krishna.
This is verily our philosophy.

When the Guru gives you initiation, he imparts spiritual power to you with the Mantra. You miss this otherwise. After we receive initiation from the Guru we must feel the presence of the Guru within us, as the Guru and the Truth within are not different.
The Guru has come as a person in human form outside us to give us the necessary guidance, awaken us and make us turn our mind towards Him within us.

Initiation from the Guru gives a new birth to you. While a mother gives you physical birth, the Guru gives you spiritual birth — a birth in which you realise eternal peace and bliss. The Name automatically comes to your mind without any struggle if you get initiation from a saint who has realized God. He takes the responsibility for your repeating the Name constantly.
When Ramdas first started on the path, he found that he was getting a certain measure of peace by the repetition of the name of God which he himself had chosen. Later he received the Mantra from his Guru and started repeating it. The result was remarkable. The mind not only became still and calm but also continuously bathed in an ocean of peace.
Then he found the difference between repetition of a Name chosen by oneself and repetition of a Mantra given by a Guru. From this you can make out that a Mantra given by a Guru is more powerful than the Name which you have chosen for yourself. This does not mean that God's name is less powerful than the Mantra. What is important is, receiving the Mantra from a saint. It may be said that a Name repeated before initiation leads the aspirant to his Guru who will give him proper initiation. So the struggle necessarily leads the devotee to a saint from whom he receives the initiation and his spiritual backing, with the result that the progress of the aspirant on the path to God-realisation becomes steady, sure and rapid.

நாம், "சாதாரண புழு போல் பிறந்து வாழ்ந்து இறக்க மாட்டேன்; அவன் அருளால் இறைவனை அடைந்தே தீருவேன்" என்று சபதம் செய்து கொள்வோம். என்றுமே கண்ணனின் கருணையை நம்பி இருப்போம். உலகத்தில் மனிதர்கள் கேட்கக்கூடிய எவ்வளவோ உலக விஷயமான பிரார்த்தனைகளையே நிறைவேற்றக் கூடிய பகவான், நாம் பிரார்த்திக்கக் கூடிய இந்த ஒன்றையா அருளாமல் இருப்பான்? ஏனென்றால், அவன் படைத்ததே அவனை அடைவதற்கு அன்றோ?
எப்பொழுதும் ஹரி நாமம் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருந்தால், நாம் கீழே விழ மாட்டோம், இது நிச்சயம்.
Let us take the oath 'I will not live and die like an ordinary worm; I shall certainly attain the Lord with His Grace'. Let us always depend on Krishna's compassion. Would the Lord who fulfils even the worldly prayers of people look askance at this prayer of ours? Has He not created us only to attain Him?
We shall never fall if we constantly chant Hari Nama (the Divine Name 'Hari'). This is certain.
