If you utter the Divine Name of the Lord, it will eliminate all your sins without leaving any residue.

Srimad Bhagavatham 6:2:14

 

साङ्केत्यं पारिहास्यं वा स्तोभं हेलनम् एव वा ।

वैकुण्ठ-नाम-ग्रहणम् अशेषाघ-हरं विदुः ॥

 

Even if you are calling someone else, or you are just uttering the name for teasing someone, or you are uttering it without any meaning, or even out of derision - if you utter the Divine Name of the Lord, it will eliminate all your sins without leaving any residue.

Nama Chanted unknowingly also wipes out all of one's sins

 

A fallen, slipped or pained person is redeemed from all sins, if he cries out loudly his surrender unto Lord Hari even while sneezing

 

Namakirtan is definitely the easiest way. But our illusion (maya) would not allow us to do even that. Hence we should not get caught in the illusion.
