     உயிர்கா வெனவோ ...... தருள்தாராய்

முருகா வெனவோர் தரமோ தடியார்

     முடிமே லிணைதா ...... ளருள்வோனே

ஒருகால் முருகா பரமா குமரா ... ஒருமுறையாவது முருகனே,

பரமனே, குமரனே, என்றும்

உயிர்கா வெனவோத அருள்தாராய் ... என்னுயிரைக் காத்தருள்

என்றும் கூவித் துதிக்க உனது திருவருளைத் தந்தருள்வாயாக.

முருகா வென ஓர் தரம் ஓதடியார் ... முருகனே என ஒரே முறை

ஓதும் அடியார்க்கு

முடிமேல் இணைதாள் அருள்வோனே ... நீ அவர்தம் தலைமேல்

இருதாள்களையும் வைத்து அருள்பவனாயிற்றே.

‘ஆறுஎழுத்து அடக்கிய அருமறைக் கேள்வி

நாஇயல் மருங்கில் நவிலப் பாடி'

'சரவணபவ' எனும் ஆறெழுத்து மந்திரம் சொன்னால் உருகிவிடுவார் முருகபெருமான். அந்த ஆறெழுத்தான முருக பெருமானின் மூல மந்திரமோ முறையாக ஓதப்படும் வேதத்தின் சாரமே என்று கூறுகிறது இந்நூல்.

 

"Aru-ezhutthu aDakkiya arumaRai kELvi nA iyal marungil navilappADi" Lord Muruga will melt with compassion if we chant the six- syllabled mantra ‘Saravanabhava'. This work says that that six- syllabled moola mantra of Lord Muruga is the essence of the Vedas that are chanted traditionally.
